Tracking
I didn't track my points yesterday or today until just a moment ago. I was falling away from it and caught myself! Yesterday I did better than I thought I did and was actually under points by 6, but today was a different story with DQ for lunch and a Blizzard for dessert. I had 12 more points today that my daily allowance. Thank goodness for those 35 weekly points! There is still hope that I can lose this week. I need to walk every day and stay on point the rest of the week and I should be fine. I need to push my water intake, too. I've been slacking on that the last few days, too and have felt so tired because of it. I made my confession, now I'm ready to tackle tomorrow with a fresh, healthy start!

How Frustrating!
I stayed OP (on point) all week, drank my water, and exercised and all I lost was 0.6 pound. That is SO disappointing!!! My WW leader says that any loss is a step in the right direction, but I was so hoping for a bigger loss this week. I do know, though, that when I'm mid-cycle I tend to gain a little, so maybe I did lose and this was just the result of my usual gain along with a loss. One can hope that is what it is anyway.
Onward to a new week and another great week of healthy choices and changes! I have a goal to walk 2 miles at least one day this coming week. I've been walking 1.5 miles and have been whipped by the end of it, so I want to push myself a little more and walk that extra half mile. I need to be active more throughout my day, too, but today was the last day of school for DS, so I naturally will be more active with him home all day.
Onto next week and hopefully a nice loss on the scale to show off my efforts!

Go me!
I just have to say that I'm so excited for Thursday's weigh-in this week! I'm drinking A LOT of water, walking, and am staying on point so well this week. I'm excited to see the results! I've also just "outed" myself on facebook and asked family and friends for support. I have some great friends already supporting me and now a few more. I really feel like this is it. I'm going to lose the weight and stick with it this time. This time is different and I've very excited about it!!
A NSV (non-scale victory) for me tonight, too: We ate dinner out and I cut my hamburger in half and took the other half home to have for lunch tomorrow. I so wanted to finish that burger, it was super good, but I resisted. I also resisted the bread that was brought out before our meal, well for the most part. I had a 1/2 slice where normally I'd have 3-4 slices. Another NSV! I'm a little nervous about taking my measurements, but even if I don't see big changes in inches, I know the scale is showing changes right now and I'm taking all of the right steps to see changes in inches soon, too!

Nike +
My husband is going to start on his "health kick", as he calls it, tomorrow. Today we went out and bought new shoes for each of us. Nike+ shoes have built in technology that keeps track of your mileage and such. It is pretty slick! I love my new shoes! We walked with our son and the dog 1.65 miles tonight. It is so hot and windy out there, but it was a good start to our walk! I'm proud of us for making these changes to a healthier lifestyle. I'm SO happy that he's decided to join me and get serious about it!!! Yay!

Yummy Lunch
Today starts a new week for counting points and I'm trying to do better than last week in hopes to lose 3.8 pounds to reach my 5% loss goal! When I reach it I have a pretty nail polish for my toes waiting as a reward. In order to do that, I'm using the old version of WW where points are given solely based upon my weight, rather than the quiz they use now. According to the quiz, I get 34 daily points plus the 35 weekly points. The old version I get 31 daily and still get the 35 weekly that I'm going to do my best to avoid eating this week, too. Hopefully this will be the week to get me back on track and focused!
Today my lunch was so yummy, I thought I'd share it!
Honey roasted turkey, 2 slices = 1 point
1 Tbsp pesto = 2 points
1 slice of provolone cheese = 3 points (need to find a low fat substitute for this one!)
1 sandwich thin bun = 1 point (these are SO good!)
First I toasted the sandwich thin. Then I spread the pesto on each side, a little goes a long way so one table spoon is the perfect amount. Next I layered the cheese and turkey and then I popped the whole thing into the microwave until the cheese was melted. I had a side of one cup of sliced strawberries for a 7.5 point lunch. So good and so filling!

First Gain
This week I had a .8 pound gain. Not a huge gain and, to be honest, it was less of a gain than I was expecting it to be. I wish I didn't gain at all, but I made many poor choices this week by eating out a lot, skipping breakfast, and not drinking enough water. I felt embarrassed to weigh-in with a gain today, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I'm looking forward to a new week of healthy choices and activity!

Better Than I Thought
This was a rough week for me. TOM (time of month) started and I wanted to eat everything in the house. I didn't, but I certainly ate all of my points, including my weekly 35 points, that I try to avoid eating, and then some. I thought for sure I was going to have a gain this week. I was dreading stepping onto the scale. I didn't gain! I lost 0.8 pound. It isn't much, but since I thought I would gain, I'll take it! I'm now down 11.6 pounds! WOO-HOO!!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a sunny day, our first in quite awhile, so I think I'll go for a walk and maybe walk to get my little guy from school, too. I mapped out a 5K around my neighborhood that I want to start working toward. I want to walk the entire thing by Labor Day without getting winded. That's my goal for exercise.
My goal for the next week is to drink more water, walk, and get to my 5% goal, which I'm only three pounds away from right now!

Two stars!
Look what I got today, at my second WW meeting! I'm now down 10.8 pounds from my starting weight! Yay!!! I feel fantastic that I've already gotten two 5lb stars. Silly stickers, I know, but they mean a lot to me and I can't wait to cover the cover of my notebook with many more of them!
